The top position of the BRDC British F3 drivers’ championship may have been decided at the end of August where Enaam Ahmed of Carlin Racing clinched the title and took his twelfth victory of the season in Snetterton but 2nd and 3rd positions in the drivers’ standings were still up for grabs, particularly as then-2nd placed Toby Sowery would not be fighting to keep his position due to taking up an opportunity in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo championship. Consistency helped James Pull claim second and a victory in the first round gave Ben Hingeley third overall in the championship while a victory for Enaam Ahmed in the final round of the season took his tally up to 13 wins and gave him a 164-point lead over Pull.
