F1 – 2014 Canadian Grand Prix

Having enjoyed virtually all of the Canadian Grands Prix that I’d watched on TV, I felt that I had to attend this one for myself. Not only was this a first for travelling to North America, it was the first time I’d used my upgraded camera body and lens, which served me brilliantly. The race weekend was fantastic, particularly with me being a witness to Daniel Ricciardo’s maiden GP victory, the second time I’d seen an F1 driver take his first win in the sport. Nôtre-Dame Island, on which the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve was laid down, was a great venue to shoot from with varying light and angles presenting a nice challenge and giving a decent amount of variety to my work.
